It’s official!! Registration for my first music producer camp is now available! This camp has been in the works for the past 6 months or so and I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach and mentor. Huge thanks to the homie Brotha Newz for seeing the vision and helping me organize. I will be holding 2 camps, June 2017 and July 2017. Only 8 students per month tho’ so register ASAP to secure your spot. I’d love to have more students but I want to be able to have more one on one with each student. Camp will be held for 4 weeks, three sessions per week; experience and interests will pair students. Native Instruments Maschine will be provided for students’ use while attending sessions.
Before the all the records in my discography– I was part of a rap duo called RTL with my homie Rhymedy…this is circa early myspace days. We would kick it about everyday write raps and make songs. I met Dylan (Rhymedy) at a community center I usta work at– He was a super quiet dood, yet had a very rough sensability…. we clicked, he told me he did spoken word but never really thought about rapping for real. Meanwhile that was what I was all about!! I was developing a pro like pocket rap style and was writing everyday so I was super sharp.
After my #reset project I’m going to roll right into CBE chapter 3– I can’t say that I actually made beats for chapter 1 & 2 they were compiled of beats that were “ideas”. This time I’m gonna make beats tailored for CBE 3!! If you already have given CBE 1 & 2 a listen which was better?!
I wanted to give all you Iknowdwill.com’ers some more insight to my production process! You know I always wished that I could see how some of my favorite producers move around in the studio. Like, I dont wanna know the magic behind the music– I just wanna see how they move and conduct sessions. So I figured I would let yall in on how I move if you ever wondered . Sheesh… .. . Im pretty sure Imma embarass myself at some point lol. Low key though, I dont think my process is different than any other producer, but ill let yall be the judge! Most importantly this is me carefree & happy!
Never know who you might see in a session…. .. . Stik Figa, Les Izmore, Milk Drop (probably more than others lol), Gee Watts, Steddy P, One be lo, Dominique Larue, Remy Banks of World’s Fair maybe… !!!
